We live in a world that equates control with success. The tighter the grip, the safer we feel—or so we think.

Control looks like:
✨ Over-preparing for meetings so you never get caught off guard.
✨ Replaying conversations, hoping to rewrite them in your mind.
✨ Holding back ideas until they’re “perfect.”
✨ Pushing through exhaustion instead of resting.

But at what cost?

Ask yourself:

What am I sacrificing to keep everything ‘under control’?

And is it worth it?

I’ve done this more times than I can count. I’ll catch myself stuck in a loop, replaying something I said—feeling lost in it. It’s not just about control. Deep down, it’s a desperate attempt to make myself right. To believe I’m enough. Because somewhere inside, there’s an old, familiar lie whispering that I’m not. The truth is, showing up is vulnerable. And when that vulnerability feels too raw, I try to manage it by obsessing over what I said.

Take some time to sit with this. Journal it out, talk it through, or simply notice where control is running the show.

And if this question hits home, let’s talk. In a complimentary Full of Herselfsession, I’ll help you understand where control is holding you back—and how to release your grip so success and ease can coexist.

With Love,
