A Life Coach who Doesn't Want to do the Work
Today I do not want to write this blog.
Today I want to take a 6 month sabbatical and walk away from all of this brand-building, team-building, value-building shit.
Is it valuable to me? I don't know.
I'm fantasizing about being a lady of leisure, which I do once every few months. The catch is that I want to enjoy my leisuring. Past experience has shown me that I'd be bored within weeks and feel a lack of passion and purpose. Would I though?
You may be asking, What happened, Sarah? Are you ok?
Yes, I'm absolutely fine. It's my latest episode of existential angst on a Tuesday. It's normal for all of us and especially when we're creating something from nothing, as I am with Moore Soul Sessions.
We get to acknowledge our struggles. We get to acknowledge our lack of desire to do even the things that light us up.
Whoever said "Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life," didn't understand work.
It's work to show up and be consistent.
It's work to forge a path.
It's work to be human.
It's work to look at our truths.
It's work to be a parent, friend, student, sister, colleague.
And, as a Life Coach who believes in the tools and has a lot of them, I don't always want to do the work.
I'm cheering you on in normalizing the blah of everyday living.
I'm cheering you on when you write the blog and you don't want to.
I'm cheering you on when you put one step in front of the other.
I'm cheering you on when your best is about 12%.
I'm cheering you on for speaking your truth.
That's BIG stuff. You're BIG stuff!
With Love,
p.s. On days like today, avoid taking yourself too seriously because your feelings aren't always facts!
