Buy My Book!

What do we do With Hard News?

I feel like I just got sucker punched in the chest.

I just spoke with the publisher of my book and she believes that to make Full of Herself even better, I need to work with a writing coach and re-organize the content.

The primary reason for doing so would be to help the reader understand more clearly the value of each story and tool.

As it's currently structured, the reader might say, It's sad that you were bullied but what does this have to do with me?

I'm incredibly intuitive by nature so I want to scream, Let the reader figure out on their own terms what it is has to do with them. Why do I have to spell everything out?

That's mostly resistance talking because I don't want to edit this book anymore.

Everything about this writing process has been humbling. And in this moment, I feel tired.

I also feel hopeful because I want to write the best book I can and if this is the next step, I'll pause, feel my feelings, and get to work.

Gosh, darn-it, ugh...things can be hard sometimes.

How has life sucker-punched you recently in a small or tiny way?

I'm cheering you on and crying with you because as Glennon says, We can do hard things.

With Love,

Sarah x

p.s. If nobody has told you today, thanks for being you.
